OVERVIEW
Ricci Swart is a new media innovator with a history in film and multimedia development and production spanning 20 years. Throughout her career she has been passionately focused on the innovative end of the media and communication worlds where technology, economy, culture and social justice meet. She has expressed this through cinematic and multimedia writing, editing direction and production; strategic and operational funding roles; and strategic philanthropy directed to the funding and production of media productions with sustained social impact.
Ricci is currently a Board Member of ACMI, Pilotlight Australia, Koorie Heritage Trust Inc. and The Centre for Adolescent Health. A Development Committee Member of Jewish Care.

- Fund Manager, Victorian Multimedia Development Fund – the Cinemedia Multimedia 21 Fund (1995 – 1998), responsible, from the inception of the fund, for all funds management and allocation to assist the development of a dynamic Victorian multimedia industry, maximising the economic and cultural benefits of new media arts and technologies to the state of Victoria
- Manager Projects, Multimedia Education Unit, Melbourne University (1986 – 1995), with duel functions of responding to internal initiated projects as well as identifying opportunities for developing collaborative external projects. Developed, produced and directed sundry multimedia education productions for both university and non-university organizations.
- Video / Multimedia Producer, Television And Optical Disc Development Unit, Centre for the Study of Higher Education, University of Melbourne (Simultaneous appointment) (1986 – 1994), responsible for the production of educational videos and multimedia programs.
- Video Producer, Media Centre Productions, Latrobe University (1982 – 1986), responsible for production of educational videos and Community Service Announcements for television.
- Producer and Journalist, 3RRR FM Radio, Community Radio (1979 – 1982).

- "Jews in Australia" (1994); Project Manager. An Interactive Kiosk produced for the Jewish Museum of Australia and the Department of History, University of Melbourne. Based on oral histories across three generations, this product looks at the range of people and their experiences that make up Jewry in Australia.
- "Practical Pharmacology" (1993); Project Manager ,Video Producer/Director. A multimedia product designed to be used in 3rd year Pharmacology practical classes to assist students understand basic techniques.
- "Howard Florey Interactive Multimedia Program" (1993); Multimedia Producer/Director. The interactive multimedia kiosk was designed for the Great Australian Science Show, to present a window into the research activities of the Institute to secondary students while demystifying the role of the scientist.

From hands-on production work in the film and the then fledgling video industry to Assistant Producer at Multimedia Education Unit, University of Melbourne (Education sector), Mary honed her administrative and practical skills.
